Patricia hosts “The Enterprising Expat”, her podcast about expats entrepreneurs and their journeys to where they are now. She managed to help me summarized my life in less than 60 minutes!

In this interview, you get to know me better and some aspects of my life and personality like:

  • Vulnerability: I’m completely aware I’m flawed and I’m not afraid to show it
  • Honesty: I say what I think. If my mouth can’t, my body language will
  • Bravery: If I wasn’t courageous, I wouldn’t be here today
  • Resilience: oh my god how many times I’ve failed and I’m still standing, stronger than ever!
  • Self-irony: I can laugh about my self and in a quite loud and infectious way!

As I spoke to Patricia, I remembered that everything that happened in my life led me to where I am now. With good and bad experiences, the extraordinary and not too great persons I’ve met along the way. The “wrong” decisions that after months or even years were proven right.  I am an excelent and experienced expat psychologist and coach because of all that, sweet and sour, tears and laughter.

My story could be your story. I’m sure you can relate to at least one part of it. I too struggled to be where I am now. Is not always a rose garden. But it’s worth it. Like Steve Jobs said, it’s all about connecting the dots. And you can do that only looking from the distance to the past. I promise you, though: when you connect the dots, you’ll be able to see how strong, brave and wonderful you are!

The Expat Psychologist, by The Enterprising Expat

This is from Patricia, the host of the Enterprising Expat Podcast

This episode begins in Chile with a predecessor to couch-surfing, she became a lovepat and moved to Austria. Giving herself 3 months to learn the language and to find a job, her well-structured plans went a little sideways. As orderly as Austria is, a longing for her native tongue and the sun led her to move to Spain.
We cover a lot in this episode our thoughts on online dating apps, making friends and when you get bad advice and you aren’t able to work in your chosen field.”
